Technology and electronics

You compete on specs. Abroad, on certificates too

Components, electronic equipment, lighting, instrumentation: a sector where buyers compare datasheets from suppliers all over the world. Exporta.ai tells you which countries import your HS code and how much, which entry requirements you will face and which distributor or integrator buys what you make.

What holds back a technology export

A different approval in every market

CE marking does not open the United States, where radio equipment needs FCC certification, nor other markets with their own body. Without the certificate the product does not get in, even if the customer has already ordered it.

Dual-use products

Some electronics, encryption or instrumentation need a dual-use export licence. Better to know before quoting than with the goods at customs.

Competing on price with Asia

If the conversation is only about price, you lose. You need to reach the buyer who values support, short lead times and European manufacturing, and that buyer is not on a marketplace.

How Exporta.ai solves it

Requirements before you quote

The market report starts from your HS code and tells you what each country requires to let your product in, with the source of each requirement. You walk into the first meeting knowing which certificate you will need.

The technical buyer, not a generic one

We find distributors, integrators and manufacturers that use products like yours, and in each company the purchasing or engineering contact, with their business email.

The trade fairs where the year is decided

MWC, CES, electronica, embedded world, IFA or ISE: which one is yours, when it is and who to book meetings with before you reach the stand.

They sold in Spain and Portugal through installers. The report showed two European markets with growing demand for their HS code and a third that required an approval they did not have. They prioritised the first two and arrived at Light + Building with 30 distributors already identified.

Does it tell me which approval my product needs in each country?

It tells you which entry requirements apply to your HS code in that country and where each one comes from. The approval itself is handled by a lab or notified body; arriving with the list ready saves you weeks.

Does it work if I sell components to other manufacturers, not a finished product?

Yes. For components the buyer is the manufacturer or integrator that uses them, and that is who we look for: by their activity and by the purchasing or engineering role, not by the end consumer.
