Exporting agricultural machinery to Spain
The Spanish agricultural sector spans both intensive operations in Andalusia and Catalonia and smaller family farms across the north. Most machinery enters through established distributors rather than direct farm sales. FIMA connects you to these intermediaries in one venue.
Phytosanitary requirements apply only if your machinery has soil contact or carries plant material. Otherwise, documentation is standard: commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading and proof of origin. If you use a freight forwarder, they handle these.
FIMA happens every two years. The next confirmed dates have not yet been published. You should contact the organizer six to nine months ahead to confirm the calendar and reserve booth space. Early registration often includes discounts on display fees.

Do I need Spanish language materials to exhibit?
No. Most distributors and buyers at FIMA speak English or use translators. Your catalog and booth signage should be in English and Spanish; your team does not need to be bilingual if you bring printed materials or use a mobile translation tool. Who are the main buyers at FIMA?
