Luis Sanz FiguerasFounder de Exporta.aiVycte is the foreign trade consultancy Exporta.ai was born from, and it uses the platform every day. Its CEO, Luis Sanz Loriente, highlights having everything an export professional needs on a single platform: market analysis, customer search, catalogue translation and grants. He also highlights how quickly they now decide which countries are most attractive. And, above all, trade fairs: the prospect’s business card and what was discussed with them go straight into the CRM.
The starting point
Choosing which country to export to has always been one of Vycte’s biggest concerns, and a very long job: gathering all the information needed to know which country is most attractive took a lot of time and sometimes stalled the decision.
At trade fairs, the usual: the prospect’s business card, with notes on the back about what was discussed.
What they wanted
To have all the information an export manager needs in one place, already worked through, and to decide sooner which markets to go for.
How they did it with Exporta.ai
- 01
Choosing the country with the information at hand
With market analysis they find out very quickly who their competitors are, what entry barriers each country has and who their potential customers are.
- 02
Trade fairs without notes on the back of cards
They take a photo of the prospect’s business card and it goes straight into the CRM. The agreements, or whatever they arranged with them, are dictated by voice and saved in their record.
- 03
Everything on one platform
Customer search, catalogues translated into several languages with the same layout, and the grants available for exporting, all in the same place.
Modules they used
- Potential marketsWhich countries to open, with official trade data.
- Contact searchDistributors and buyers by profile, with verified data.
- Trade fairsPreparation, capture at the stand and follow-up.
- Voice notesWhat was said with each lead, dictated and transcribed into their record.
- Sales CRMContacts, companies, tasks and deals by country and language.
- Document translationCatalogues and data sheets in another language, layout intact.
- GrantsThe internationalisation grants that fit your plan.
In his own words
“What we value most is having everything an export professional could need on one platform.”
“The speed is nothing like what we used to have before.”
On trade fairs: “It makes things incredibly easy, especially with new customers.”
What we learned
What holds exporting back the most is not a lack of information but how hard it is to gather. When it is worked through and in one place, deciding which countries are most attractive stops being a long job.
At a trade fair, whatever is not noted down on the spot gets lost. Having the card and the conversation go into the CRM on their own makes the difference with new customers.
