Argentina's Decree 566/2026, published on 1 July 2026, sets export duties at 0% for chemicals, fertilisers, plastics, rubber, steel, non-ferrous metals and vehicles, and cuts another group month by month until 1 June 2027. For a company exporting from Argentina, it changes the cost of every offer.

What has changed

Decree 566/2026 was published in Argentina's Boletín Oficial on 1 July 2026. It reduces export duties on a wide group of Mercosur Common Nomenclature headings and, in many cases, eliminates them.

It provides three schemes. The first sets 0% immediately from 2 July 2026. The second falls each month from 1 July 2026. The third covers certain hydrocarbons and also falls each month. All schedules end on 1 June 2027.

Who is affected and what to do

It affects those who export from Argentina products in the chapters listed and those who buy from them. An export duty goes into the price of every offer: if it falls, the margin or the price you can sell at changes.

The first task is to check the product's tariff heading and see which annex it falls under. If it falls under the second or third, the duty falls each month, so an offer spanning several months should take the schedule into account.

The full text and the monthly rates are in the Boletín Oficial. Review it with your customs broker before settling a price.
