What to know before exporting to Mexico through this fair
Mexico is a large importer of the goods shown at this fair. In 2025, according to UN Comtrade, Mexico declared imports of USD 144.5 billion in chapter 84 (machinery and mechanical appliances) and USD 30.7 billion in chapter 39 (plastics and articles thereof). Those are the latest consolidated data.
Packaging machinery is classified mainly in chapter 84 of the Harmonized System. Packaging materials made of plastic fall under chapter 39, and those made of paper under chapter 48.
